Plaintiff, Lashandra Harley, worked for the Defendant, Carlton Palms Educational Center, Inc., as a therapist. She filed the suit as a collective action on behalf of herself and other similar therapists. Ms. Harley alleges that Carlton Palms failed to pay its therapists at a rate of time and a half their hourly rate of pay for overtime hours worked. Instead, Carlton Palms paid its therapists the same hourly rate for overtime hours worked (commonly referred to as "straight time"). Plaintiff seeks payment of the additional overtime pay owed to her and the class. Thus far, approximately eighteen (18) additional therapists have joined.
If you would like to join, the consent to join form is listed below. In order to join, you must have worked as a therapist within the last three years, worked overtime and not been paid time and a half for those hours.
